SRCIC Membership Rights and Benefits

 

1. The right to vote and stand for election

 

The SRCIC is composed of members sharing the objectives set forth in the articles of the SRCIC Constitution (Internal). Accordingly, there are two categories of membership:

 

Silk Road Members include National Chambers and Business Federations, Trans -National and Regional Federations and Chambers, individual companies, with their headquarters in one of the Silk Road (land and maritime) countries or regions.

 

International Members include National Chambers and Business Federations, Trans-National and Regional Chambers, individual companies, with their headquarters beyond the Silk Road (land and maritime) countries or regions but conducting or intending to conduct business in the Silk Road countries or regions.

 

1.1 All members of the SRCIC have the right to vote in elections of the Chairmanship and Executive Board. All members have the right to vote in the SRCIC General Assembly - the principal governing body.

 

1.2 Silk Road members are exclusively eligible for election to the Chairmanship and Executive Board of the SRCIC.

 

1.3 All members are eligible for appointment as chairs or members of SRCIC professional committees and working groups. Committees have been created for trade, finance, culture, transportation, energy, information, and industrial parks. All members may propose the creation of new Committees and Working Groups.

 

2. Priorities for participation in cooperation and development projects

 

2.1 SRCIC will leverage its resources to facilitate all members to cooperate and develop in the fields of infrastructure, trade, industrial investment, energy, and finance.

 

2.2 All members are entitled to the services provided by the SRCIC, including investment and financing, commerce and trade, logistics, information releasing, networking, etc. The platform of esilkroad.com is available to all members. The operation model of the platform -“Internet + chambers of commerce + Silk Road”- is designed to share quality resources among all the SRCIC members.

 

2.3 All members have the right to cooperate with the Silk Road International Development Fund on a voluntary basis. The state-level funds of the members’ home countries enjoy priorities to co-establish sub-funds with the Silk Road International Development Fund. The sub-funds will be mainly invested in the projects of the members or the projects from the members’ home countries.

 

2.4 All members are entitled to priorities to participate in projects launched by the SRCIC, such as the Silk Road Expo Park, Silk Road Think Tank Association, Silk Road International Commodity Exchanges, Silk Road International Artwork Trading Center, Cultural Artwork Theme Town, the Silk Road Museums Association, the establishment of national chambers’ headquarters and multinational enterprises’ headquarters in China, etc. The favorable policies of the related projects are also preferentially accessed by all members.

 

2.5 All members are entitled to the consultation services provided by the SRCIC, including bidding for projects, information on major Belt and Road projects and other supports.

 

2.6 All members have the privilege to promote projects to business communities of different countries via the SRCIC official website and SRCIC Secretariat, and to release projects information through the SRCIC platforms. SRCIC Secretariat reserves the right to review proposed projects to ensure that they respect articles of the SRCIC Constitution.

 

2.7 All members are entitled to the use of the publicity channels and media of the SRCIC on mutual agreement.

 

3. Priorities for participation in public events

 

3.1 All members are entitled to joining the SRCIC business activities and enjoying preferential treatment as participants in these events.

 

3.2 All members are entitled to joining the SRCIC Road Show events worldwide.

 

3.3 All members are entitled to the training and exchange opportunities provided by the SRCIC. Members are also entitled to recommending their own members or scholars and specialists from their countries to join such activities.

 

These services are available to members by prior consultation with the SRCIC Secretariat.

 

4. Other services available

 

4.1 SRCIC headquarters in Hong Kong and its representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi'an provide all members with the use of office facilities, business arrangements, and transportation arrangements (including transport to and from airports, vehicles reservation, etc.). These services are available to members by prior consultation with the SRCIC Secretariat.

 

4.2 SRCIC provides members with business consultations and other services including translation, visa application, invitation issuing, etc. for their visits to China. These services are available to members by prior consultation with the SRCIC Secretariat.

 

4.3 All members are entitled to the application and participation in SRCIC Silk Road Sunshine Foundation.

 

4.4 All members will receive SRCIC newsletters, work plans, and valuable information about the Belt and Road Initiative on a regular basis.

 

4.5 All members are welcome to offer suggestions and proposals to the SRCIC Secretariat on new or existing benefits. SRCIC will strive for more opportunities and support for its members under the Belt and Road Initiative.
