2018 Silk Road International Fashion Week is going to be held in Xi’an

On 5 August 2018, 2018 Silk Road International Fashion Week press conference was held at Tang West Market Museum in Xi’an. The theme of this year’s fashion week is “A Fashion Welcome from Xi’an”. Designer Zeng Fengfei’s Silk Road Dun Huang show ended the event in its climax.

 

 

The 2018 Silk Road International Fashion Week is co-organized by China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC), Zhongguancun Global Fashion Creative Industry Union, Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC), Shaanxi Broadcast Television Group and some leading media companies.

 

As the only international fashion week named after the Silk Road, the Silk Road International Fashion Week aims at promoting and developing art and fashion industry among Silk Road countries. It highly praises craftsmanship and crossover cooperation.

 

 

The year of 2018 is the 1400 anniversary of Xi’an city - the starting point of ancient Silk Road, which gives special meaning to this year’s fashion week. From September 17th to the 23rd, designers from China, France, Italy, Russia, Thailand and many more countries will release their latest designs on fashion shows at different landmarks of Xi’an. During the fashion week, Silk Road International Fashion Forum, Silk Road International Fashion Gala and the final of 2018 Asian Supermodel Contest will also be held. Xi’an will be indulged in the world of fashion.

 

 

CICCC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Wang Haotian addressed the press conference by saying that the fashion week and Xi’an city were all successors of the Silk Road spirit, he believed the combination of fashion and profound cultural heritage of Xi’an would bring more creative projects to life.

 

 

SRCIC Vice Chairman and Secretary General Li Zhonghang indicated in his speech that “Silk Road International Fashion Week is a great platform for the exchanges and cooperation between art, culture and commerce along the Silk Road.”
