Official launch of B20 in Beijing: SRCIC delegation attended the grand event

On January 26th, the official launch of the B20 was held in Beijing. Vice Premier Wang Yang, Chairman of the 2016 B20 Summit, Chairman of the CCPIT Jiang Zengwei, Coordination of G20 in China and Vice Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Li Baodong, Preperatory Work Team of the G20, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province Liang Liming, Chairman of the 2015 B20, Chairman of the TOBB and Honorary Chairman of the SRCIC Rifat Bey, President of the RSPP and Vice Chairman of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce Alexander Shokhin, Chairman of ICC Harold McGraw III and Secretary-General of the SRCIC Li Zhonghang attended the launching event.

 

This year, the B20 Summit includes 6 topics: Financing Growth, Trade and Investment, Infrastructure, SME Development, Employment, Anti-corruption. Based on the rules of openness and inclusiveness, the participants will exchange the knowledge and experience and to forge consensus.

 

The 2016 B20 Summit will be held in Hangzhou, China at the beginning of September. Dialogues with the G20 state leaders will be encouraged and achievements of the B20 will be reported to the G20 leaders. This is the very first time the B20 is held in China and the international business community all look forward to it. Many chambers of commerce and industry and related international organizations actively engage in recommending candidate for co-chairs of the working groups, think tanks and etc. The number of the delegates from home and abroad attending the launching event is 460 in total, which is more than that in any case before the event. Also, about 260 delegates are from overseas.
