Opening ceremony for students from 2018 Silk Road Sunshine Fund program

3 November 2018, the opening ceremony for students from 2018 Silk Road Sunshine Fund program was held at Chang’an University. SRCIC Deputy Secretary General Ken Li and leaders of Chang'an University attended the ceremony. SRCIC 2018 Silk Road Sunshine Fund program has subsidized 24 students this year, 12 of which from Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan studying at School of Construction Machinery, Chang'an University.

 

 

On behalf of SRCIC, Ken Li welcomed the students, saying that the Belt and Road Initiative provided the opportunity for learning exchanges and hoping that the students would cherish their study in Xi’an city and become the active participants under the Belt and Road construction. The students promised that they would work hard to learn professional knowledge and become envoys among the Belt and Road countries for cultural exchanges.

 

 

The 2018 Silk Road Sunshine Fund program subsequent to 2017 Silk Road Sunshine Fund for Ukrainian students is the second batch of funding by SRCIC. The Silk Road Sunshine Fund was founded in response to the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to strengthen the cooperation in education and to step up cultural exchanges among the Belt and Road countries.
