On April 5, 2016, witnessed by Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Dimitry Kumsishvili, Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI )and Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together to promote the Belt and Road Initiative.

On the same day, Mr. Dimitry Kumsishvili accepted the certificate of membership issued by SRCIC. And SRCIC Founding Chairman Lu Jianzhong signed the cooperation agreement with GCCI President Nino Chikovani.
