JSC Partnership Fund President David Saganelidze invited to attend the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE)

The 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai on November 5, 2019. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. French President Emmanuel Macron, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić attended the opening ceremony and related activities.

 

Before the opening ceremony, President Xi Jinping met with foreign leaders attending the Expo. David Saganelidze, member of SRCIC, JSC Partnership Fund President, attended the meeting.

David Saganelidze was also invited to attend the sub-forum of 2nd Hongqiao International Economic Forum "WTO Reform and Free Trade Agreements" and gave a speech. Multilateral free trade agreements have opened up markets for Georgian products, while the WTO has safeguarded the free flow of international trade, he said.

On November 6, JSC Partnership Fund participated in the signing ceremony held by the team of State Capital of Shanghai Trade Delegation, and the promotional conference of China Anhui (Chaohu) Import Food Industrial Park.

David Saganelidze said that from the ancient Silk Road to the current Belt and Road Initiative, Georgia and China have always been friendly and cooperative partners. “During the 1st China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in 2018, with the testimony of Georgia's former Prime Minister Mr. Mamuka Bakhtadze, JSC Partnership Fund was very honored to have signed a letter of intent on the project of China Anhui (Chaohu) Import Food Industrial Park, and at the 2nd CIIE this year, we hope to sign a formal agreement of this project, to help introduce Georgian high-quality food and wine enterprises to enter the Chinese market".
