Mr. Li Zhonghang meets with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at APEC 2017

On November 6, the host city of Da Nang in central Vietnam welcomed participants from Asia-Pacific economies to the 200 activities of APEC Year 2017, being held across Vietnamese cities and provinces, culminating with the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting on 10-11.

 

SRCIC Secretary General Li Zhonghang is invited to the summit, themed with dynamism, creativity, action, unity, and movement to the future. Deputy Secretary General, Head of SRCIC Beijing Office, Mr. Wang Yan also went to the summit.

 

SRCIC Silk Road Treasure is presented to the Prime Minister

 

On 7 November, the Prime Minister met with the Chinese business delegates present at the summit. Mr. Li Zhonghang introduced the SRCIC and its growing. He expressed the intention for SRCIC members to explore trade and investment opportunities in Vietnam. He gave the SRCIC special gift to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc with the story. The Prime Minister listened to the story and said, "The gift is very precious and meaningful."

 

On the same day, Mr. Li and Mr. Wang also met with Ms. Xi Hui, the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang. They exchanged the idea on bilateral business and Ms. Xi informed that the relation between China and Vietnam is going well. Da Nang is a late developed municipality directly under the Central Government. The economic potential here is big. She offered to take note of good infrastructure projects for SRCIC and welcomed Chinese companies to Da Nang for business.

In the evening, Mr. Li held a working meeting with Mr. Doan Duy Khuong, Executive Vice Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and industry. According to Mr. Doan Duy Khuong, VCCI is the only business association in the country. Its membership is close to 10,000. Mr. Li invited VCCI to join the SRCIC membership and to Beijing for the coming anniversary activities.
