Digitalizing the CO processes in Singapore leveraging blockchain and AI, Mrs. Ju Song Lee, Founding Chair, ICC WCF International CO Council; Executive Council Member, UNESCAP for Business Network and Advisor, Singapore International Chamber of Commerce

As part of the global efforts to accelerate paperless trade, ICC WCF International CO Council actively urges its chamber members to provide eCO services. The Council, however, leaves it to each member to decide on how best eCO services can be provided. The Council does not favor any particular system, but is strongly  in favor of systems that are working in the same way:

the harmonization of the issuing process within the systems in use (submission and verification of documents, issuance of the eCO to exporters) is a matter that the Council considers to be very important.

It's worth noting that eCO contributes to the simplification of regional/international trade. It reduces concerns related to the authenticity of the proof of origin as a well-designed system does not allow tampering with the information contained in an eCO.

The presentation by Mr. van der Weide will share the experience of the Netherlands on how the national chamber has successfully implemented eCO services for many years for the benefits of all its exporting companies.

Mrs Lee will share the successful implementation in Singapore of an eCO system based on Blockchain and AI and a Partnership programme with the developer which provides free development, implementation and maintenance as well as free link to the ICC WCF verification website and  free training of staff from the Chamber and applicants.

The webinar will cover benefits the system brings to the issuing chamber, applicants and importers/recipients of eCO.

Members are invited to this webinar to learn more about the benefits of using eCO services provided by the network of chambers of commerce to the business community.
