Shenzhen launches RCEP service center

Shenzhen Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) service center was inaugurated on Monday, reported


At the launching ceremony, Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen, Shenzhen Customs, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Municipal Committee and other relevant government departments signed a memorandum of cooperation on helping local enterprises develop international markets.


It is learned that from January to May this year, Shenzhen issued a total of 8,380 RCEP certificates of origin. With the certificates, enterprises can enjoy preferential tariffs when they trade with RCEP member countries. 


During the period, exports value of related enterprise stood at 2.3 billion yuan, and the RCEP certificates of origin helped reduce tariffs for these enterprises by 82 million yuan, while reduced tariffs for import have exceeded 30 million yuan as the total import value reached 570 million yuan.


According to relevant person in charge of Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen, the establishment of Shenzhen RCEP service center is conducive to helping local enterprises familiarize with tariff concessions and trade facilitation measures among RCEP members, as well as guide local enterprises to deeply participate in the construction of regional industrial chain and supply chain.
