The third China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair (China-CEEC Expo) will be held in Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province from May 16 to 20, reported Chinanews.com quoting Zhejiang provincial department of commerce.

Themed "Practical Cooperation for a Shared Future" this year, the expo aims to deepen cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs), boost China's imports from CEECs, and promote cultural exchanges.

This year's expo, hosted mainly in the form of offline activities coupled with online events, will highlight conference forums, exhibitions, economic and trade negotiations, cultural exchanges and campaigns of guest country of honor, among others.

During the expo, three exhibition areas covering a total area of 220,000 square meters will be set up to display agricultural products, food, beverages, dairy products and other goods from CEECs, international consumer goods such as household products and kitchen supplies, as well as imported alcohols, agricultural products, handicrafts, and cosmetics.

A variety of economic and trade talks, such as a commodity procurement conference and dialogue on agricultural products, a round table meeting for foreign-funded enterprises, and an investment attraction meeting for the manufacturing industry of Zhejiang's development zones, will be organized to help the Chinese market learn more about commodities from CEECs and expand CEECs' exports to China.

Meanwhile, a forum focusing on female scientists from China and CEECs and an international sailing competition will be held for the first time to enhance people-to-people exchanges.

Over the past few years, China has seen accelerated trade and investment cooperation with CEECs. China's trade with CEECs increased 9 percent year on year to 921.05 billion yuan in 2022, data from China's customs authority showed.
