SRCIC Chairman Lu Jianzhong attends 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation

On April 25-27, the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) was successfully held in Beijing. Nearly 5,000 international guests from more than 150 countries and more than 90 international organizations were attracted to the Forum.

 

Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech Working Together to Deliver a Brighter Future for Belt and Road Cooperation at the opening ceremony. President Xi indicated the importance of the Belt and Road construction by saying that the Belt and Rod Initiative not only provided new opportunities for the world's economic development, but also scaled new heights for Chinese opening-up. “We need to be guided by the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits. We need to pursue open, green and clean cooperation. We need to pursue high standard cooperation to improve people's lives and promote sustainable development. Going forward, China will take a series of major reform and opening-up measures and make stronger institutional and structural moves to boost higher quality opening-up.” President Xi emphasized in his speech.

Over 1,600 Chinese and international guests were invited to attended the opening ceremony of the second Belt and Road forum for International Cooperation (BRF), including SRCIC Chairman Lu Jianzhong and SRCIC member,  Founding Chairman of the Philippine Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce (PSRICC), Francis Chua. Chairman Lu also attended the Belt and Road CEO Conference during the BRF.

The Belt and Road CEO Conference is a new highlight during the BRF, which aims to build a cooperative platform among chambers of commerce and industry, and to assist enterprises for shared resources.
