Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, will establish a national legal service demonstration zone for international business in the Xi'an International Trade & Logistics Park, according to an industry meeting.

The efforts are aimed at creating a highly favorable environment for international trade and providing important legal services along the route of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The High-Level Roundtable on Belt and Road International Commercial Law Seminar on Development of International Legal Services in the Post-Pandemic Era was held Tuesday in Xi'an.

Discussions were held on finding ways to resolve commercial and legal issues and difficulties facing enterprises, legal experts and professional institutions at the seminar, which aims to innovate the model of settling foreign-related commercial and trade disputes in order to ensure high quality of foreign-related legal services.

The roundtable conference also covers theories and practices and promotes cooperation with respect to China-Europe Railway Express, international multimodal transport, international trade and other services along with BRI characteristics.

Participants consisted of renowned legal experts from institutions, organizations from home and abroad, and over 100 representatives from entities and legal service agencies, such as China Railway Express Chang'an line, cross-border e-commerce and logistics enterprises and law firms in the Demonstration Zone.
